From Our Last Meeting - July 13th, 2026

Outgoing President Mike M. commended incoming President Becky H. for her “Fantastic spirit…leading this club like the great leaders we’ve had.” The Club provided a farewell standing ovation for Mike, and welcomed Becky to the helm. Presenting Rotarian John Scambler told Mike that “It’s OK to be relieved that it’s over. Thank you for your dedication and enthusiasm.”

Becky cited her mother’s recent passing as motivation to continue in her example of service. “She was my hero and my first best friend,” the new President noted. “I hope to channel (Rotary leadership) through her spirit.” Hammer listed among her presidential priorities as further support of scholarship students, and clean and global clean water impacts.

She hopes the club will adopt a service project to benefit with the recent revenues saved through cancellation of the Changing of the Guard party. Increasing membership and promotion of the club was outlined as another presidential initiative.
